it's wearing multiple sweaters and still freezing to the bone.
it's waiting for a ride home at night, with icicles for hair.
it's curling up with a big black labrador on the couch, just 'cause.
it's watching a ten year old girl dress up as a zombie bride.
it's getting hooked on cigarettes and coffee.
it's still wearing tank tops, because letting go of summer is never easy.
it's smelling like lotion and cinnamon with a hint of caramel apple.
it's carrying all ten bikes to the second floor of the garage in forty degrees without gloves.
it's sticking hands in hot water shortly after.
it's laying in the frost-laced grass, gazing at the streetlight overhead.
it's almost winter.
and i think i'll be okay.
